My Therapeutic Approach

As we live each day, life happens, and that which happens is not always the easiest road. However, when we dig as deep as we possibly can, when we keep on going and work with and through our pain, we come out on the other side having grown, having more understanding, and being closer to what I call home, our heart. At the very root, my practice approaches center around exposures, meditation, gratitude and compassion, forgiveness of others, forgiveness of ourselves, and love.

My work at Clearview Horizons is under the license and direct supervision and mentorship of Dr. Kimberly Glazier Leonte.

My Education and Training

My therapeutic approaches are derived through educational trainings, certifications, and meditation retreats, along with over a decade of professional experience working with clients on holistic wellness through meditation, providing education on and helping clients instill healthy habits to help the mind-body connection, and helping clients go out of their comfort zones to work toward values-based goals. I received my Diploma from the Arts Educational London Schools. I am also certified as a Master Personal Trainer. Additionally, I am working toward my Diploma of Counseling from the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors, Yoga Psychology Certification, and completing the Davidji Meditation Academy Masters of Wisdom and Meditation Program. For a more in-depth look at my clinical experiences please refer to my curriculum vitae.

My Areas of Specialty

From my professional experiences, I have observed the high prevalence of OCD, anxiety, and perfectionism. My commitment for helping people with health and wellness, along with the commonness of OCD/anxiety, led to my extensive research, learning, and passion for helping people with OCD/anxiety/perfectionism. I integrate Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) with a type of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). In addition, mindfulness/meditation, exercise, and gratitude and compassion work are important parts of my therapeutic and wellness process with clients.
